Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the RangeSim app ("RangeSim", "we", "us").
The short version
We don't collect any of your information. Everything you enter in RangeSim stays on your device.
What the app stores, and where
RangeSim saves the following only on your device, so the app can work and remember your progress:
- your clubs and the practice shots you log (carry, direction, target and time)
- rounds you play, including scores, shots and rounds in progress
- holes you design
- your settings (such as yards or metres, sounds, tees, and which tips you've seen)
This information is never sent to us or anyone else. RangeSim has no accounts and no servers, and we can't see your data.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No analytics or tracking
- No advertising or advertising identifiers
- No location data. Distances come from what you enter or mark on the map, not from GPS.
- No selling or sharing of data
Backups and deleting your data
Your device's own backups (for example iCloud Backup) may include RangeSim's data, under Apple's privacy terms. You can delete individual range sessions and rounds in the app. Deleting RangeSim removes all of its data from your device.
Children
RangeSim doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version adds online features (such as friends or course sharing), we'll update this policy before those features are released, and explain what's collected and why.
